Lesson descriptions

The training courses we offer are designed based on information from numerous training and certification courses taken by the Manzano Tactical staff. We believe the knowledge obtained through these trainings and certifications, allow us to provide the best quality results for those who attend our trainings.

NOTE: In addition to the lesson fee, there may be additional range fees ($20-$50). Firearm rentals vary (handguns $50 per person per lesson; rifles $200 per person per lesson).

  • Private Lesson

    We offer private lessons to those who prefer one-on-one or small group instruction. Private lessons are typically two hours long. We cater these lessons specifically to you, whether you are just getting started with handling a firearm or want to hone specific skills.

  • Safety & Confidence

    We have found that when someone gains confidence through their skills, they become inherently safer with a firearm. We will utilize our time harping on the basic marksmanship fundamentals to gain that confidence with our skillset. Throughout the day we will continue to ensure safety is emphasized and completely understood.

  • Handgun & Rifle Foundational Development

    With many utilizing firearms as a means to protect themselves and others, it is imperative to build a foundation based around sound fundamentals. We will go further in depth with holster work, rapid fire, and marksmanship. This course is designed around the intermediate level shooter, who is new with working with gear such as holster, rifle slings, mag pouches, etc. We spend the day understanding the proper way to set up and utilize our gear to help benefit our capabilities.

  • Handgun & Rifle Efficiency

    With a strong foundation established around safety and fundamentals, we can focus on enhancing our efficiency. Our efficiency courses are our most advanced courses. This course is not meant for those who are unfamiliar with their gear or skills. We spend the day working on malfunctions, movement, and furthering our capabilities.

  • Low Light Foundational Development

    With many utilizing firearms as a means to protect themselves and others, it is imperative to build a foundation based around sound fundamentals. Once your shooting fundamentals are established, it is time to put effort into learning how to properly translate those skills into a low/no light setting. We will go over a variety of different concepts such as: handhelds vs. weapon mounted lights, various activation techniques, candela vs. lumens, photonic barriers and more.

  • Night Vision Foundational Development

    With ownership of night vision becoming increasingly popular, it is imperative to build confidence with setting up, operating, and manipulating your night vision unit. A topic filled with as much excess information as night vision, this course will provide the information necessary to develop a strong foundation without diluting the quality of content with information overload.
